A minimum of six Grade 12 courses at the U or M level with an overall average of 65%, including at least 70% in Grade 12 English (ENG4U), is required. It is recommended to include a U-level mathematics course. Alternative pathways include Design Foundations or Media Foundations programs, and credit transfer options are available for graduates of advanced graphic design diplomas, subject to evaluation. A digital portfolio demonstrating creative skills is also required. Technological prerequisites include a laptop meeting specified standards, a USB thumb drive, a 2TB external hard drive, and a DSLR or mirrorless camera capable of video and audio recording.
