    Applicants must be accepted into one of the six collaborating graduate programs at McMaster University and demonstrate a strong interest in astrobiology through a written statement (up to 500 words). A minimum of one term (3-unit) course in Astronomy, Biochemistry, or Geology/Geochemistry is recommended. Successful completion of the program grants an 'Astrobiology Specialization' to complement the student's primary degree, qualifying them for advanced research and professional opportunities in the field.
