Applicants must have B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, or be at least 19 years old and have been out of secondary school for at least one year. English language proficiency requires completion of English 12 with a minimum of 60%, or equivalent. Attendance at a mandatory orientation session is required. Transfer students with completed diplomas in Computer Information Systems, Infrastructure and Computing Technology, or similar programs from recognized institutions may enter directly into the third year. Keyboarding skills of at least 20 words per minute are recommended. Applicants should have access to a personal computer and consider assessing their suitability for the program through research into Computer Information Systems careers.
