Admission to the Dance Diploma program is highly competitive. Applicants must possess a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, demonstrate proficiency in English (English 10 or equivalent, or English Language proficiency at a Grade 10 level), and be at least 18 years old. In exceptional cases, applicants aged 17 may be considered with departmental approval. Candidates must successfully pass an audition before the Admissions Committee, chaired by the Artistic Director of Dance at Arts Umbrella, and complete an interview with the same director to demonstrate their suitability and commitment to the program.
