Programme Structure

The MIPP program is a one-year, full-time program, comprised of three consecutive terms. Our intake is once a year, every September. You will complete a total of twelve courses in the degree: the four required courses in the first term. These required courses ensure core competencies in public sector economics, policy analysis and research tools, and international relations and globalization.During the second and third terms, you will choose courses to complete one of four thematic concentrations:International Environmental PolicyInternational Economic RelationsHuman SecurityGlobal Migration

    Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in economics, political science, or related fields, or possess relevant interdisciplinary research experience pertinent to international public policy. Degrees from other disciplines may be considered. A minimum B average is required. Candidates must complete courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, introductory statistics, and political science, or demonstrate equivalent preparatory coursework. Applications are evaluated based on academic transcripts, a writing sample, and letters of reference by the graduate program committee.
