    Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern history and culture from Freie Universität Berlin or an equivalent program with similar content and structure. Proof of written Arabic language skills at CEFR level B1 is required, along with proficiency in at least one additional language such as Greek, French, Hebrew, Italian, Latin, Persian, Russian, Spanish, Syriac-Aramaic, or Turkish at B1 level, or oral skills in a modern Arabic dialect at C2 level. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level if their prior degree was not obtained in an English-taught program.
