Applicants must possess a minimum of 60 credits at NFQ level 6 or higher in relevant fields such as outdoor education, community education, health and leisure, youth studies, social care, or sport and recreation. Alternatively, candidates with recognized prior learning (RPL) equivalent to 60 credits under the European Qualifications Framework for Outdoor Animators (EQFOA/CLO2) are eligible. Candidates must demonstrate at least 24 months of full-time sector experience, undergo Garda vetting through MTU, and be employed in an appropriate organization to meet work-based requirements. Proficiency in English with an IELTS score of 6.5 is also required.
