Applicants must typically hold an undergraduate degree at a 2.1 classification and a master's degree with a minimum overall grade of 'Merit'. Candidates with a UK first-class honours degree or equivalent from non-UK institutions, without a master's, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Admission decisions also consider the quality of the research proposal, interview performance, professional experience, and the availability of supervision. Two academic references are required to support the application process.
