Admission to the pre-licensure nursing program requires an independent application process through the School of Nursing. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early, ideally before the end of their freshman spring semester, to secure fall admission. All applicants must be accepted by the Nursing Admissions, Progressions, Retention, and Grievance (APRG) Committee prior to enrollment in nursing courses. Courses such as Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Human Development, Nutrition, Psychology, and Statistics must be current within five years; older credits require retaking or standardized testing (e.g., CLEP). Transfer students with prior nursing coursework are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
