Applicants must meet both Graduate College and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences criteria, holding a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution. An undergraduate major in English or creative writing is preferred, but exceptional writing talent may suffice. A minimum GPA of 3.00 in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate or in a relevant master's program is required. Application materials include a graduate application and fee, official transcripts, a statement of purpose, resume or CV, three recommendation letters, a creative manuscript, and proof of English proficiency.
