    Applicants must complete a Pre-Communications program and a campus writing course (WRTG 150 or an advanced writing course) prior to admission. Students are required to complete at least 72 credit hours outside the department, fulfilling BYU’s University Core requirements. An internship is mandatory for all students. Proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator must be demonstrated through a portfolio review as part of the program requirements.
