Curriculum:All students are required to complete a portfolio capstone with a project-based or research thesis, under the guidance of their faculty mentor.Graduate students in public health can also choose to start the program with the Rural and Community Health Graduate Certificate, of which 15 credits may transfer in toward completion of the MPH degree.
Applicants must submit official transcripts demonstrating completion of an undergraduate degree, with unofficial transcripts accepted if graduation is pending. A college-level statistics course with a minimum grade of B- is required. Additionally, applicants must provide a professional writing sample of at least 1,000 words, such as a peer-reviewed manuscript, policy analysis, or technical report. Two letters of recommendation are required—one academic and one professional or community-based. A concise resume or CV, a personal statement or cover letter (maximum one page), and an application fee are also necessary for admission consideration.
