    Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in nursing, life sciences, or chemistry from an accredited U.S. institution or equivalent international training. Prerequisites include coursework in inorganic and organic chemistry, microbiology, human anatomy, physiology, and genetics. Candidates must possess current U.S. RN licensure, at least one year of acute care experience, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A personal interview, criminal background check, and drug screening are mandatory. Additionally, students are required to pay the AANA membership fee during their first semester and submit a $500 deposit to secure their place in the cohort.
