    Applicants must complete the NYU application form, selecting 'Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Literatures...Creative Writing in Spanish-M.F.A.' in the Program and Term section. Submission of an official undergraduate transcript (Licenciatura or B.A.) with certified translation is required. Writing samples should include 20 pages of prose in Spanish (fiction, essay, memoir) or 8-10 poems in Spanish. Three letters of recommendation, either in English or Spanish, are necessary. A concise statement of academic purpose, written in Spanish, should not exceed two double-spaced pages. An application fee applies.
