Applicants must submit a completed application form along with a $50 nonrefundable fee, official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions, and demonstrate a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. A minimum of 24 undergraduate credits in biology (including core courses), 6 credits in physics, and 16 credits in chemistry (including organic chemistry) are required. Additionally, applicants must provide GRE scores (general and biology subject tests), unless waived for Rhode Island College alumni. Three letters of recommendation, a designated faculty research advisor, and an approved plan of study are mandatory. An interview may be required, with waivers available for RIC biology graduates.
