Courses include:Medical and dental schools do not require specific majors; however, they do require exceptional performance in a series of very specific science and mathematics courses.For most medical and dental schools these requirements include: one year of general biology with lab, one year of general chemistry with lab, one year of general physics with lab, one semester of calculus, one semester of statistics, and one year of organic chemistry with lab. We also recommend that students take one semester of biochemistry.Admission to medical or dental school also requires very high scores on the MCAT or DAT exams.
