The Master of Science in Computer Engineering (MSCE) program in the Department of EECS has three areas of primary focus:Hardware Systems: including the design and test of VLSI systems, performance, and analysis of complex hardware systems, design methodology based on formal methods and CAD tools.Software Systems: including the development of large software systems, analysis of the performance of programs, the design of reusable software.Assured Systems: including computer and network security, formal methods, and verification. Applicants must meet general admission criteria, including a GRE Verbal score of 150 or higher, GRE Quantitative score of 155 or higher, and GRE Analytical score of 650 or a 3.5+ in Analytical Writing. International applicants need a TOEFL score of at least 85 (Internet-based), 223 (computer-based), or 563 (paper-based). A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required. Exceptional candidates with unique credentials may be considered for admission.
