    Applicants must hold a master's degree or equivalent in Communication or a related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both undergraduate and graduate studies. Submission of three reference letters—at least one from a faculty member familiar with the applicant's research—is required. A 2-3 page personal statement outlining academic and professional goals, along with a 2,500-word research writing sample demonstrating graduate-level research ability, must be provided. International applicants must submit a detailed course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculations. The suitability of degrees from related disciplines will be assessed by the Director of Graduate Studies.
