Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0; a GPA of 3.5 or higher is strongly recommended. Candidates with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) or equivalent meet all prerequisite requirements. Those without a CSD major must complete at least one 3-credit course in each of the following areas: Anatomy of Hearing, Anatomy of Speech, Language Development, Speech Science, Hearing Science, Transcription, and Phonetics. A grade below C- in any CSD course is unacceptable and must be repeated. All applicants must demonstrate foundational knowledge in these areas to qualify for admission.
