    Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in Biology, Botany, Zoology, or Environmental Biology with a minimum GPA of 2.8. They must have completed one year of Freshman Chemistry, at least one semester of Organic Chemistry, and one year of Physics or Geology. Mathematics coursework should include calculus or statistics. International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency via TOEFL (minimum scores: 560 paper-based, 220 computer-based, 85 IBT) or IELTS (minimum score: 6.5). Submission of three academic references is required. For thesis track applicants, a 750-word statement outlining research interests and a willing mentor from the Biology department are necessary, with prior contact with the Graduate Coordinator recommended.
