As a doctoral student in the program, you will:Perform well-child and developmental assessments on infants, children, and adolescents while promoting disease prevention/health promotion.Learn to diagnose and manage acute illnesses/injuries and chronic health conditions that affect children.Fine-tune knowledge in evidence-based inquiry/practice, quality improvement, and systems leadership.Develop and learn skills to influence public policy through participation in professional organizations and health policy activities at the local, state, national, and international levels.Have clinical experiences in a variety of pediatric outpatient settings.
