Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and complete discipline coursework equivalent to Michigan Department of Education-approved secondary certification programs. Additional requirements include a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0, completion of ES 2000 or equivalent teacher contact hours, coursework in ED 3200 and ED 4200 or 30+ hours of student teaching, a reflective essay, an interview, proof of identity and English proficiency, a non-refundable application fee, and proof of financial resources for the first year of study.
